Ephemeral Flower Field Sketching

Ephemeral Flower Field Sketching is an incredible way to connect with an environment and sharpen observational skills. This workshop is an immersive outdoor experience within the beautiful landscape found at William O’Brien, located south of Osceola on the scenic highway 95, and concludes in the studio at the Natural Heritage Art Centre.

This three-week workshop was designed to be an engaging practice in field sketching with limited guidance. While working, participants will receive a series of creative prompts to broaden observational skills and engage all five senses. Participants will learn about spring ephemerals and create a series of sketches to inspire a final composition to be completed in the NHAC studio. Participants will meet at the visitor center at William O’Brien State Park.
