Mississippi Shoreline Clean-up

Join both the Natural Heritage Project and Clean Shores Project at the Carpenter Nature Center to help rid the river of rubbish. This is a free, fun and family friendly event (please leave your beautiful pets at home). We provide the clean-up supplies, like waste bags and gloves and you provide the enthusiasm. Together we will work to keep our rivers clean!


  • wear sensible shoes for muddy or wet areas

  • wear appropriate outdoor attire

  • garbage poker (optional)

  • drinking water

  • bug spray

  • sunscreen

  • snacks

Wings of Spring

The St. Croix Valley Bird Club recognizes International Migratory Bird Day at the 8th Annual Wings of Spring Bird Festival.  Activities include – an early bird hike at 8:30 am, live bird banding demos by Carpenter Nature Center, a variety of family activities and a live raptor presentation.

Music will be provided by Fendrick & Peck.

FREE event at River Falls City Hall.

Time:  8:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
