What is Natural Heritage?
Heritage is that which is inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and endowed to future generations. Natural heritage refers to the sum total of the elements of biodiversity, including flora and fauna, ecosystems and geological structures.

The Art Centre is located in the Saint Croix River Valley, a 169-mile National Scenic Riverway under the protection of the National Park Service. Several scenic highways traverse quaint towns, pristine prairies, orchards, and farms. The diverse landscape provides residents and visitors access to incredible outdoor adventures, unique art experiences, antiques and crafts, organic farms, farm-to-table restaurants, vineyards, breweries, and meaderies as well as handcrafted chocolates, maple syrup and cheese.

Through a wide range of community arts programming, the Natural Heritage Art Centre supports emerging and established artists to build a sense of community, ecological awareness, and civic pride. Programming includes art education, exhibitions, performance, public art, and placemaking activities curated for area residents and visitors to the region.
