CAR FREE MSP

Join Move Minneapolis on Thursday, September 19, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to celebrate Car-Free MSP at the new Peavey Plaza on Nicollet Mall & 11th Street.

World Car-Free Day is celebrated in over 1,500 cities around the world as a day to imagine transportation without being dependent on the automobile. Minneapolis joined the celebration in 2016 when nearly 1,800 downtown commuters pledged to go “car-free” for a day. Today’s workforce is moving away from the stressful, congested, carbon-heavy mindset of drive-alone commuting. The Twin Cities offer options for a better, faster, less-expensive commute. Move Minneapolis can help you go Car-Free on Thursday, September 19th…and beyond. With a little transportation coaching, we can help you use transit, bicycle commute, carpool, walk, scooter or telework.
